All memberships are by invitation only and include a vetting process. Each membership class has its own privileges and obligations. These privileges and obligations are defined in the membership pricing details and in the Club’s policy book. All fees charged by Victoria Club are described on the last page of this pricing sheet.
Below is an explanation of the fees that members may be charged as determined by the Board of Directors. The Club has a limited number of memberships available; some memberships may be full. Fees are subject to change; please note that all members in all membership classes are charged the following fees unless otherwise noted in the details below:
Dues: Dues are billed monthly, vary depending on the type of membership and the privileges of that membership and are billed in advance, on or around the last day of the prior month for which the dues are being billed.
Monthly Food and Beverage Minimum: The monthly “minimum” is inclusive of tax and service charge. Members with a monthly minimum are billed for any unused portion of their minimum at the end of the month. Members with an annual minimum are billed for any unused minimum on their annual anniversary.
Monthly Replacement Fee: Starting in November 2021, all Non-Equity members (Dining, Tennis, Social, Junior Executive, Non-Resident, and Emergency Service Professional) will have $15.00 added to their statement. Equity members will have $40.00 added each month. All members share in the cost for the repair or replacement of items in common areas. Updates are sent out via email with the schedule for repair or replacement. None of the Monthly Replacement funds charged to Non-Equity members are used for capital improvements. Preview members are not charged the Monthly Replacement Fee.
Operation Fee: Victoria Club operates in the top 85th percentile for operational efficiency, according to Benchmark operations. Operation Fees offset operation costs, such as minimum wage and tax increases and other costs that exceed the income from the collection of membership dues. In lieu of an increase of the monthly membership dues, an operation fee is charged to each member to cover the anticipated operation budget shortfall. The 2020-2021 fiscal years’ fee will be billed in November at $195.00 to Equity members and $50.00 to Non-Equity members. This fee will be prorated for all new members at the rate of $4.17 per month for Non-Equity membership and $16.25 for Equity memberships. Preview members are not charged Operation Fees during the Preview.
Move-down fee: The Move-down fee is charged to all members who move down in membership class. It is added to the member’s statement in the month the change becomes effective. As of October 2015, the move-down fee was set at $500.00.
*The exit fee: This fee is charged to Equity memberships only and is subject to change, at the discretion of the Board of Directors and is in lieu of the transfer fee listed in the bylaws for the sale of an Equity membership. The current exit fee for all Equity members, including Equity at Modified dues, is $1,000.00.
Capital Assessments: The Board may levy assessments up to a total of $1,000.00 per Equity membership in anyone (1) calendar year without prior authorization of the Equity members. Assessments are for capital improvements and may only be charged to Equity members, including those in the Equity at Modified Dues membership.
Wait List: Memberships that are full are noted as such on the pricing sheet. To be added to the wait list for a specific membership, please submit the four-page candidate form to the membership office. The date your candidate forms are received will be the date in which you are placed on the wait list. Being on the wait list does not guarantee membership, only that you have been added to the wait list and will be contacted by the membership office if/when the membership class you are interested in becomes available.
Vetting Process: Membership is by invitation through a vetting process which includes a background check, criminal check, credit report, an interview and Board approval. A final posting, after the Board’s preliminary approval, is a ten-day process during which the candidate’s name is posted for the general membership’s review. Upon successful completion of the vetting process, the member candidate would attend the New Member Orientation on the first Tuesday following completion of the ten-day final posting date.
Shepherd Program: Member candidates who do not know any members participate in the Shepherd Program, in which the candidates are introduced to and guided by their Shepherd Sponsors through the vetting process. Please note that being in the Shepherd Program may add time to the vetting process to complete the necessary Shepherd appointments
