Here’s a little refresher of what you can expect when you dine at your Club:
When you exit your car, please have your face covering available. Please wear your face covering when you step into the carport area prior to approaching the main clubhouse doors. Face covering are required to enter the clubhouse and are recommended while on Club property.
For lunch service please check in at the hostess stand; for dinner service you will be greeted in the car port entry way by a staff member. A staff member will take your temperature and ask you to apply hand sanitizer. Please allow your temperature to be taken and use the hand sanitizer provided prior to entering the clubhouse. Those with temperatures over 100.4, or a cough, cannot be admitted into the clubhouse.
After your temperature is taken and you have applied hand sanitizer you will then be directed to the Hostess.
As you move into the clubhouse please maintain proper social distancing by having your party stand on and near the VC decals on the floor as you progress towards the hostess stand.
Once seated at your table you may remove your face coverings. Anytime that you leave your table for any reason you will need to put your face covering back on.
Each table will have one (1) dedicated Server. Your server will be the only employee who will set up, service and clear your table. Your server may ask you to assist them so that they can offer you near-touch less service and maintain social distancing when possible.
At the conclusion of your meal, your chit and a sanitized pen will be set on the table for your signature. Please be sure to verify your member number and sign the chit. Any optional additional gratuity cannot be paid to your server if you don’t sign your chit. Please leave the chit and pen on the table.
When you are finished dining and ready to leave please put on your face covering and exit the dining area. Please remember to use social distancing when you exit.
We thank you in advance for your continued support of your club and look forward to seeing you soon! Please contact me or club management if you have any questions.

Update 4/27/2020
An Update from President Mayo
Dear Members:
I’d like to thank all golfers for their nearly perfect execution of the many new rules we threw their way last week when we reopened. The Board and I know that the regulations we put in place were numerous and honestly a bit of a pain, but you all were terrific!
Our course Marshal’s saw only minor infractions and it is my pleasure to share with you that a few of the rules have been lifted and others have been modified to reflect your cooperation in helping our Club adhere to the County’s orders.
Here are the changes you can expect when you hit the links tomorrow:
· Foursomes will be allowed
· A member may bring one (1) guest at anytime of the day.
· Relatives who share the same household may ride together in in the same cart
· The short game area will be open and will now allow up to five (5 ) players at a time
· Beginning on May 1st, the range will open and allow up to (8) spots
· Complimentary bottled water will be available at the cart barn, hole 5 and the 10th Tee
· The flag stick must remain in the hole at all times; A pool noodle placed in the hole will allow you to sink your putt
· Towels will remain unavailable
· We will continue the use of a proper face mask per the county’s order
· Starting times will continue to be required
· Donated foursome certificates will not be honored at this time
Again, you all have been terrific and your efforts last week were truly appreciated. But let’s not rest on our laurels… We need your assurance that you will not only continue to make Victoria Club the exemplary Club in Riverside County but that you will also share the rules with your guests. Your guests are under your control and I know we can count on your continued support of the regulations we have in place so that we can stay open for golf.
Let’s make this week just as great! As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly or reach out to our Club’s management staff.

Note:
We have done our utmost to respond to the ever-changing guidelines imposed upon us all in the fight to combat the spread of the Coronavirus. Your Club has contacted the County through letters and phone calls to plead the case that Victoria Club can, based on our firsthand experience, safely and effectively operate under the County and NGCOA guidelines. We believe it is the responsibility of each one of us to be good neighbors and responsible members. We thank you in advance for your efforts to do everything in your power to help your Club remain open.
Update 4/7/2020
By a quorum vote, it is with disappointment that the Board of Directors must inform you that effective today, April 3, 2020, the golf facility, golf course and ancillary buildings, tennis facility and pool areas are temporarily closed until further notice due to the Riverside County Public Health Officer’s order issued April 2, 2020 related to public or private golf courses.
The Club is aligning itself with other 501(c) 7 clubs and will provide updates as frequently and as soon as possible.
The To-Go Food Service and pick-up only Member’s Market will continue to provide you and your family with takeout food made by the staff you know.
While we are facing difficult times, they are truly not unprecedented; our community faced the same social pressures and restrictions in 1918. We know this is your home away from home and with your support we will turn this corner successfully and together.
Update 4/2/2020
We have done our utmost to respond to the ever-changing guidelines imposed upon us all in the fight to combat the spread of the Coronavirus. We believe it is the responsibility of each one of us to be good neighbors and responsible members. Until now, we have been blessed to remain open and we will do everything in our power to remain open. This includes further impositions on your common sense and responsibility as members of an equity club.
Every class of member agrees to abide by the Club policies per the bylaws. We expect every member to fully support the Club’s policies, which have changed due to Covid-19. One hundred percent cooperation and compliance is required. The price our Club will pay if guidelines and policies are not followed is dire. It is your Board’s premise that the irresponsible behaviors and juvenile attitudes of one person or one group cannot be tolerated. Bottom line, it is unfair for any member to reject the Club’s policies and jeopardize the Club.
We must assure the County and community that personal safety and social responsibility is apparent here at our Club. The only approach we can take is to not only modify our mindsets but also modify the traditions of golf and tennis here at Victoria Club. Effective today, we’re asking you to become your own “Marshals” and help us ensure that our Club’s policies are followed on the golf course and tennis courts. Any infractions are unacceptable and are subject to censure from the Board.
Please carefully review the following enhanced changes to the Club’s Policies in response to the orders arising from Covid-19. It is every member’s responsibility to follow them:
Golf
The golf area and course remain open for those who follow the strict limitations to support the guidelines. Again, think of it as Golf & Go.
Tee times are now required. Please call (951) 684-5035 to make your tee time.

Blue flag riders must maintain the same ten (10) feet distance from other carts, as well.
When you are on the greens maintain a personal distance of ten (10) feet from the other players. Understandably this may interrupt your traditional approach to a hole.

Update 3/31/2020
The situation with Covid-19 continues to be fluid and at their 3/17/2020 meeting the Riverside City Council unanimously ordered that for the next 14 days all restaurants operate at 50% of occupancy. This limit on the occupancy is also a recommendation of Governor Newsom, per his press conference this afternoon.
We understand that the recent mandates and directives to bars and pubs and the general population are temporarily changing our lifestyles. Rest assured that Victoria Club is very concerned and obliged to being a part of the solution in preventing the spread of the virus.
Victoria Club is complying with the Riverside County Health order dated March 16, 2020 prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people.
To comply with this order all venues regardless of type are limited to a gathering of 10 in one space or space subdivision, employees and patrons combined.
The order is currently in effect until April 30, 2020.
Victoria Club meets the criteria as a venue that is authorized for off-premise consumption for food and wine. And with the new order, we want to share the following updates to help you stay connected to your Club during these restrictions:
The 10th Tee Snack Shop
Remains open for its usual take-away dining and all members in every class of membership are invited to come to your Club’s snack shop. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Sunday 8:30AM to 4:00PM.

Throughout the day staff will continue enhanced cleaning, and from 4:00-8:00PM you will see a special team cleaning the main clubhouse floor. We apologize in advance for the smell of bleach in the solution they will be using.
Update 3/16/2020
As each of us does our part to contribute to the health and well being of our friends, family and the nation, Victoria Club will be updating you as often as needed to share how your Club is doing its part.
On March 12th we shared that the health and well-being of our members, their families, guests and our staff is of paramount importance to us, as well as maintaining a healthy environment. And as you know, every day we are faced with new information from local and Federal agencies on the goal of containment of the Covid-19 virus.
In last week’s letter we shared how your Club began enhanced cleaning and disinfection of the clubhouse and “touch” surfaces and implemented heightened protocols in staff to member behavior. Today we are working to maintain an even safer club experience for you and your family. These increased measures will continue and will be enhanced further as needed.
As of the writing of this letter to you your Club and its amenities such as the golf course, tennis courts, workout room, lounges and dining rooms remain open and we propose remaining open, unless absolutely mandated. We are making plans and taking measures to maintain a safe environment for the members and the staff to accomplish this goal.
By taking proactive measures, based in response to the recommendations and mandates of our local, State and Federal government, until further notice, your Club will operate with the following changes:
First, we will not host events of groups greater than mandated. This number has been fluid and will be adjusted accordingly. As a result, the following events have been cancelled or postponed:
- St. Patrick’s Day 3/17
- The Four Club Tournament on 3/21,
- The Easter Egg Hunt 4/11
- Easter Brunch 4/12
Second, your Club house is being reconfigured to allow you to enjoy dining service and all of its amenities while maintaining recommended social distancing.
In-clubhouse dining will continue but the hours of service will be slightly shortened:
- Lunch Tuesday-Friday 11:30AM to2:00PM
- Dinner Tuesday – Friday 5:00PM-7:30PM
- Sunday Brunch 10:00AM to 2:30PM
The 10th Tee will maintain its usual hours of 8:30AM-4:00PM
Menus for both in-house dining and to-go items will be updated to help us ensure your dining experience is efficient, convenient and as safe as possible. To accomplish this we are increasing our ability to provide improved options for curbside pickup of meals and wine and to provide you and your family with Five-Star service to go.
Due to the restraints imposed by the State of California, effective March though August your monthly food and beverage minimum requirement will not be required to be met monthly. Instead it will be extended over the entire next six months, with the total minimum amount not due until August 31, 2020.
Another focus is protecting our at-risk members and staff. We encourage you all to exercise good judgment and if you are ill to refrain from coming to the Club. At-risk staff will be protected as well; Management and HR are working to ensure their well being, too.
We recognize that the Club has an important responsibility to look after its members and staff. We also know that your Club is your home-away-from-home. Together, with careful attention to our enhanced day-to-day protocols and with your diligence and deference to your fellow members, we can face these uncertain times together. We will stay connected with you as we continue to monitor and address developments of this health challenge.
Update 3/12/2020
The health and well-being of our members, their families, guests and our staff are of paramount importance to us, as well as maintaining a healthy environment. Every day we are faced with new information on the spread of Coronavirus. And while the final impact of this health crisis is ultimately unknown, we do know that the virus is spread primarily through person-to-person contact and it can also be transmitted via infected surfaces, where it can survive for several days.
Cleaning such surfaces, followed by disinfection, is a best practice measure for the prevention and the spread of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses in community settings. Victoria Club has responded to the Covid-19 event and the Club has put the following enhanced cleaning procedures in place:
- The Club has increased the frequency of hard surface cleanings and disinfecting throughout the Clubhouse
- We have instructed staff to wipe down doorknobs and handles, and other frequently used hard surfaces; you will see significant emphasis paid to high traffic areas
- We have added disinfecting wipes at entries to the Grill, Dining Room & Main Bar
- We have clearly labeled the hand sanitizers outside all restrooms throughout the Club
The Club has an important responsibility to look after its members. By the use of enhanced cleaning practices and also keeping up with the latest news from authorities, you can rest assured we have a laser focus on this goal, with respect to the proper maintenance and care of our clubhouse to ensure a healthy environment.
We will stay connected with you as we monitor developments of this potential health challenge.
